METHODOLOGY

A well-defined mission starts on the ground.

Acquisition, processing and interpretation serve distinct roles. Planning connects these stages to the client’s intended use of the information.

Mission preparation equipment

From the brief to the acquisition plan

  • 01 / Asset briefing

Objective, location, extent, available history and intended data use.

  • 02 / Feasibility and operating conditions

Access, restrictions, environmental conditions, movement of people and interfaces with site operations.

  • 03 / Acquisition and checks

Execution of the approved plan and checks of coverage and acquired records.

  • 04 / Processing and delivery

Data organisation, agreed outputs and communication of observed limitations.

Outputs defined by use, not volume

The proposal identifies the items to be supplied. Not every project requires all the following outputs.

  • RGB and thermal image archive organised by area or asset.
  • Observation report with locations and reference images.
  • Orthomosaics, surface models and point clouds where commissioned.
  • Comparisons between campaigns based on agreed criteria.
Formats, target accuracy, asset identification, analysis depth and delivery schedule must be included in the scope. Formal assessments and professional responsibility documents, when necessary, are addressed explicitly.

What to confirm before commissioning

Beyond price, assess coverage, acquisition conditions, applicable qualifications, responsibilities, acceptance criteria, confidentiality and data use. Weather and operating restrictions may require changes to the execution window.
